A Place That Left a Lasting Impression
Travel can change more than scenery. Sometimes it changes the lens through which we understand home, culture, and ourselves.
Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Where is it?
Yes, one of my favorite places I’ve visited is Kuwait. The experience was both eye-opening and grounding. Being there exposed me to a different culture, pace of life, and worldview that broadened my perspective beyond my own environment.
The contrast between tradition and modern development stood out, and the experience reinforced my appreciation for cultural diversity, discipline, and adaptability. Kuwait remains memorable because it challenged how I see the world and my place within it. That perspective also shapes the places I reflect on in Cities I’m Drawn To.
KVI Reflection
A meaningful place becomes a kind of mirror. We arrive looking outward at another culture, but often leave looking inward—with our assumptions rearranged and our sense of the world made wider.
