When the Picture Changed, Did You?
Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?
Have you ever looked at your life and realized the picture you had a year ago doesn’t match what’s in front of you now?
Did your plans develop clean, or did life knock the camera out of your hands and force a retake? What broke that you thought would bloom?
What survived when everything else washed out? Somewhere between the overexposed moments and the hard resets, did you find yourself clearer—less tolerant of nonsense, more honest about who you are and what you’ll carry forward?

AFTER THE EXPOSURE
No. The life I pictured a year ago didn’t survive the exposure.
The frame cracked, the light came in too hard,
and the version I was chasing couldn’t hold its shape.
What stayed was the real work—
unpolished, quiet, and heavier than I expected.
I didn’t lose the picture.
I stepped out of it.
